CC -!- FUNCTION: Transcription factor that regulates the expression of
CC the gene clusters that mediate the biosynthesis of the host-
CC selective toxins (HSTs) AK-toxins responsible for Japanese pear
CC black spot disease by the Japanese pear pathotype (Probable). AK-
CC toxins are esters of 9,10-epoxy 8-hydroxy 9-methyldecatrienoic
CC acid (EDA) (PubMed:22846083). On cellular level, AK-toxins affect
CC plasma membrane of susceptible cells and cause a sudden increase
CC in loss of K(+) after a few minutes of toxin treatment
CC (PubMed:22846083). {ECO:0000303|PubMed:22846083,
CC ECO:0000305|PubMed:10975654}.
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus {ECO:0000255|PROSITE-
CC ProRule:PRU00227}.
CC -!- MISCELLANEOUS: Gene clusters encoding host-selective toxins (HSTs)
CC are localized on conditionally dispensable chromosomes (CDCs),
CC also called supernumerary chromosomes, where they are present in
CC multiple copies (PubMed:10975654). The CDCs are not essential for
CC saprophytic growth but controls host-selective pathogenicity
CC (PubMed:10975654). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10975654}.
